A Real Houseboat

This is actually more of a house ship than it is a house boat. It was built by a Russian guy Nicolai without any plans or sketches. His neighbors call his house: Nicaloi's ark. It is 9 meters high and 14 meters long.

Although it is rather unusual, it has all the comforts of home. There are even sauna and swimming pool on the first floor. In addition, this family is ready for another flood.

Strange Retro Advertisements With Children

These days, you would never see such advertisements. But it is sure fun to look at them today. Some of the advertisements are for products that are still available, other are for products that have long been discontinued but they are all very weird.

Ghosts At The Cemetery

Last weekend we celebrated Halloween, so we decided to tell you the following story. This summer two photographers visited the city of Shargorod, where three cemeteries are situated – the orthodox, the catholic and the Judaic one. Of course they felt uncomfortable at the cemeteries, but didn’t notice anything strange or abnormal. One night they were taking pictures, and in the morning they skimmed through the photos and this is what was in them.

Love Locks

For years now it has become popular for loving couples to write messages on a padlock and attach them to certain landmarks. This is done all over the world. It shows a couple’s undying love for one another and supposedly brings good luck.

Dead Drops: A New Peer-to-Peer File-Sharing Network

As part of an inventive art project titled “Dead Drops,” Aram Bartoll has embedded countless USB drives into walls, buildings, and curbs around New York City. Why? To create an anonymous, offline file-sharing network in a completely open and public space. Each dead drop contains a readme.txt file explaining the project.

So, essentially, passersby can upload or download random files from the sticks. Yes, most people might fear catching a virus from a mean-spirited uploader, but the curiosity of what else might be on the drives would likely surpass that worry.

The dead drops can be found here:
